Documentation that you must deliver to rent a property

The owner and the real estate agency will have to get to know you before formalizing the rental contract for the home, so they will ask you to provide certain documentation to get to know you and verify that you will be able to pay the rent without any problem.

Necessary documentation:

· DNI, NIE or Passport. The presentation of your valid personal documentation is a mandatory requirement to identify yourself. Furthermore, the data that appears in the documentation is what will be incorporated into the contract.
· Last three payslips received, to verify your income
· Account number along with a bank statement from the last three months. Or the last years tax declaration (RENTA/IRPF)
· Employment contract, in this way, they will know if you have a temporary, indefinite job...
· Registration certificate (Padron)
· References from former owners.
· If you are self-employed: Vida Laboral, Mod. 100 and Mod. 037.

What do you have to pay before entering the rental property? To formalize the lease, you will have to make some payments:

· Rental deposit (Two months)
· The current month.

The documentation to rent a home usually causes some headaches for many owners. And, when a home is rented, the tenant is not the only person who must provide documents, the landlord must also do so.
